Solution consisted of real time data streaming and analytics, batch processing, Azure Databricks, Snowflake, Azure Data Lake, Azure Data Warehouse, Power BI integration, dynamic Kubernetes clusters, Express Route, machine learning enablement, Azure Event Hub, Attunity CDC integration and overall cloud best practices framework definition and implementation. Also responsible for the data governance program initiatives, Enterprise Data Management team reorganization, roles and responsibilities definitions and current skillset assessment and training plans. Currently assisting with the implementation of the roadmap and roadmap revisions every 3 months Management: Responsible for the coordination and alignment of the Data Governance, Cloud Infrastructure and Data Engineering teams delivering the strategic roadmap. Created and participated on the Architectural Review Board, and worked closely with corresponding business units (Marketing, Data Analytics, Finance and Customer Support) to ensure business cases were clearly defined and the solutions created business value. Presented to the board for funding approvals.

Member of Integrated Marketing Data Strategy team focused on development of long-term data strategy road map, including implementation of Data Governance standards and processes as well as assessment and planning to re-platform the big data analytics and marketing environments in the cloud.  Technical Liaison: Leader in review of current data governance, current and future technology architecture and business process to identify areas of concern and provide a future state environment to support business priorities. Strategy Solutions: Developed a prioritized road map for long-term business planning, coordinating activities and the deliverables of multiple teams into a cohesive business objective oriented deliverable.  Management: Lead the first phase consisting of requirement gathering, data modeling and delivery of three separate project teams in an agile environment.

Provided leadership and direction for the enterprise architecture and project delivery to re-platform a legacy database solution. Team Leadership: Led the planning, design and implementation of project with hands-on development, code reviews and developer mentoring to ensure on-time completion. Project was 6 months overdue and my team was able to re-design, re-baseline and deliver the project without sacrificing business value.

Technical Architect for CRM and big data marketing, analytic and business intelligence solutions for various high profile clients. Responsible for the technical stack and pre-sales support for the High Tech and B2B vertical. Client - Dell: Technical Architect for the Global Marketing, reporting and analytical environment for B2B and B2C lines of business implemented with multiple technologies. Scope included 3 year road map for future system planning, integration of Merkle environments and Dell-hosted environments and Dell Partner environments. Required management of onshore and offshore teams of 26 individuals including developers, technical leads, data analysts and project managers. Led client facing design, implementation and project planning discussions. Responsible for identifying, selling and implementing additional functionality that fit into the client's long term strategic road map. Improved system performance 20 fold and improved margins by 12%.  Client - Samsung: Led projects in collaboration with client team to develop a strategic roadmap. Provided capacity planning, ETL processing designs, data models, business intelligence and analytics integration. Implemented proof of concept with tool evaluations and recommendations for a data lake environment. Realized cost savings of 40% across server, storage and licensing consolidation. Client – IBM: Responsible for the oversight of the data modeling, data process flow and IBM Campaign integration plan for a multi-phase global B2B environment. Led client meetings, scoping sessions and design of client ETL design. Successful implementation led to the closing of 2 additional phases to expand the system. Client – Merkle Internal Tools: Design and implementation of Hadoop cluster POC for a global identity management. Concurrent client processing led to the need for tight security procedures and load balancing. Responsible for the team of 6 developers and delivered on time and on budget.

Part of the leadership team to bring in-house the current marketing processing from a 3rd party. Starting from scratch, identified, architected, negotiated and contracted with vendors to stand up the environment. Responsible for design, development and performance of the system in house consisting of multiple clients comprising billions of records. Improved upon the identity matching system, speeding up run times from days to hours. Recruited, trained and mentored the development team on the environment; responsible for code standards, unit testing and environment optimizations. Also responsible for recruiting the operational team, implementing operational standards, quality control and automation. Designed and developed an innovative metadata driven analytic scoring engine to cut SAS licensing costs by 70%. Bringing the system in house realized savings of $2M annually.

Provided direction and leadership for design, implementation and optimization of multiple client data warehouses and DSS systems. Responsible for overall planning, design, architecture, capacity planning and upgrade recommendations. Concurrently managed and advised multiple delivery teams, mentoring and performing code reviews, architecture reviews and creating development and operational standards. Part of the SWAT team to optimize and automate environments to hit SLA’s, improve performance and lower resource costs.

Led the design and implementation of a midmarket marketing and analytics environment. Environment was multi-tenant fixed cost, fixed functionality product handling customer, 3rd party, transactional and touchpoint data. The product provided standardized aggregations, model scoring, marketing input/output files, closed loop marketing attribution and reporting. Managed vendor partnerships, assisted in pre-sales and sales materials and presentations, cost analysis/fixed pricing analysis and product development.
