I joined MHI Ship Repair after serving over 25 years in uniform including the honor of serving as Captain of a USN Destroyer. I am a proven executive leader and program manager of complex systems and diverse teams. I have a passion for finding solutions to challenging problems through process improvement and innovative change management with a unique attention to detail. Building on the foundation developed at Virginia Military Institute, I continuously seek personal improvement and epitomize leadership by example with integrity and dedication.An accomplished US Navy AEGIS Destroyer Captain, I successfully trained my crew and safely deployed our warship to the Mediterranean and Black Seas. An operational risk and strategic management expert, I am an experienced international leader, negotiator, and problem solver. A lifelong learner, my MBA degree from William and Mary provided enlightening insight into the private business sector. I enjoy continuing to leverage my extensive leadership experience managing people and processes as an executive in the Hampton Roads maritime industry.
