Responsible for developing, programming, testing, and implementing Web courses for Ford engineers, produced by our team of instructional designers. These courses are intended for Ford's Saba Learning Management System (LMS), but I also administer several other servers used by our department. Duties include:Reviewing and repairing coursescourse design to ensure that functionality, interactivities (Flash and others), and database interactions will work with the various Ford systems and Saba 5.5 Learning Management System (LMS).Based on my twelve-plus experience with Ford Web-based engineering training and custom software applications, troubleshooting and debugging legacy systems, as well as converting old course materials to new systems.Leading special projects such as the investigation and programming of search and Wiki technology for our course repositories.Managing servers and data archives.Evaluating, testing, and modifying software packages used in our department (Camtasia, Captivate, Lectora, Articulate, Documentum, Javascript, DHTML/CSS, and others.)Development of quality standards and procedures for course testing.Consultation regarding statistical-based content material (my area of specialty) and Six-Sigma methodology.

I led a small team (at one time consisting of seven programmers and graphic designersseven members) responsible for development of Web courses for Ford engineers. This group workedworks in conjunction with a team of Instructional Designers, together creating courses, each several hours long, consisting of Web pages, Flash and Javascript interactivities, and Web-based programming. My responsibilities included:Input into the design, especially the interactivity design, of all our coursesDevelopment of all Web coursesDesign and writing of some of the more advanced statistical and engineering courses, such as Design of Experiments and Fundamentals of Automotive StatisticsLeading role in establishing user requirements and standards for all Ford Web development software used in the department Technical expertise in the field of statistics, Six-Sigma, quality control, and related statistical-based courses. My knowledge of Web technology, instructional design methodology (based on years of work with Instructional Designers), and years of actual teaching experience in technical subjects at the college level, make me uniquely qualified to handle all the phases of the instructional design process, from analysis through evaluation.

Taught evening writing and literature classes. Also part of the pilot program to introduce computers into composition classes.

Web developer for a major marketing services firm which created Web sites for Ford, GM, Chrysler, Hiram Walker, and other major corporations. Primary developer on some Web projects for Ford. Wrote HTML, Perl cgi scripts, CSS, JavaScript, Java. Responsible for quoting Web projects as well as managing their development.Knowledgeable in a variety of Web authoring, publishing, document conversion and graphics tools in both the Windows/NT and Unix environments, including: Macromedia DreamWeaver, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and Distiller; QuarkXPress; Microsoft FrontPage; WebTrends log analyzer.

Created manuals and on-line documentation for UNIX engineering workstations applications and software. Worked extensively with Unix, especially Sun's SunOS and Solaris operating systems, including shell scripting and software compilation/installation. Familiar with many authoring, graphics, and publishing tools, including FrameMaker, Coreldraw, Interleaf, PageMaker, Designer, Excel, Microsoft Project, Minitab.

Developed documentation packages for ANATEC's relational database customers, often working at the customer site, including: Chrysler; . Worked with VMS VAX systems and the relational database INGRES.

Wrote technical manuals for XYCOM's industrial computer systems, PC boards and other industrial computer hardware (such as printers and terminals) and software (such as a Pascal-based operating system). Also designed and wrote marketing material and sales brochures for XYCOM's products, working with artists and printers to produce the documentation.
