Rejoined Chef to work on the Habitat project, eventually becoming technical lead for the Habitat Supervisor.Contributed many features, including streaming build logs, numerous package build enhancements, enhancements to Docker package export, transition from synchronous to asynchronous operations inside the Supervisor using asynchronous Rust, debugging several thorny network and resource consumption bugs, and significant refactoring and modernization of initial project code.In addition to this, I helped to modernize (and currently maintain) the build and release pipelines for the Habitat Supervisor, migrating from a TravisCI and Appveyor-based system to a more full-featured and more maintainable Buildkite-based system.As technical lead, I have significant direct interaction with many customers, both large and small, to help troubleshoot deployments, figure out optimal deployment strategies, and solicit feedback on evolving features.I also work extensively with with management and our product organization to help define goals and roadmaps for the project.

Participated in all areas of development for the Cog chat-ops platform / bot from its inception, including permission system design and implementation, REST API development, data modeling, event logging subsystem, HTTP triggers, dynamic command configuration, command bundle development, documentation, and lots of other stuff besides. Implemented and managed continuous integration and release operations for all software components.

One of two engineering managers for the Chef Delivery project.

Participated in the rewrite of Chef Server from Ruby to Erlang. Rewrote the Chef Server authorization server ("bifrost"), migrating the backend from CouchDB to PostgreSQL. Participated in the Chef Server 11 release. Worked on Chef Push Jobs. Early-stage engineer on Chef Delivery.
