CTF 69 plans and coordinates area submarine and anti-submarine warfare operations, to provide multi-domain security and stability in the 6th Fleet area of operations, often in concert with allied & partner ships and aircraft. My role specifically focused on the the planning and operations related to the support and direction of US Submarine assets to execute their assigned missions. My role also extended to coordinating long term planning with Joint Force and regional Allies for large and small scale operations and exercises.

Served as a Submarine Officer onboard the USS San Juan, a Los Angeles Class Attack Submarine. Participated in numerous multi-platform and multi-national exercises, and executed three deployments to the European theatre. I was integral to the successful completion of four major maintenance availabilities, three Operational Reactor Safeguards Examination, and three Pre-deployment training and certifications.Positions held include: Assistant Weapons Officer, Reactor Controls Assistant, Chemical-Radiological Assistant and various collateral duties. On a day-to-day basis, I excelled in supervisory level watches, making real-time decisions based on complex data and systems. I gained significant skills in leadership and management in a complex, dynamic, and constantly-evolving environment. I completed and passed the Prospective-Nuclear Engineering Officer (PNEO) course which qualifies me to continue my Naval career as a ship's assigned Engineer.

Completed the US Naval Reactor's Prospective Nuclear Engineering Officer course. Gained in-depth knowledge and mastery of US Naval Reactor Principles, Design, and Operation.

Charleston, South Carolina Area

Trained as a nuclear watch officer at NNPTC and at NPTU (Nuclear Power Training Unit) in Charleston, South Carolina. Course of study included basic math and physics, thermodynamics, materials, reactor dynamics, and integrated plant knowledge. Trained onboard the Moored Training Ship (MTS) 626 in advanced reactor plant operation and equipment casualty control.
