At CallFire, I worked on the front and back ends of the spectrum for the CallFire.com website. The main project I was involved with during my time at CallFire was launching their API 2.0 product. Writing code, debating on infrastructure, and writing the documentation were my responsibilities on project. The code was written in Java, using Wicket as the framework for the CallFire product. Scrum methodologies were used, and there were daily code reviews necessary to move code into the continuous integration pipeline.The team dynamic was a team of engineers working with QA and Design teams on an as needed basis. The team was comprised of some remote and some in-office engineers.

At MyLife, I was in charge of the development of the Android application. In the first months, I worked alongside a remote contract team to do maintenance and feature upgrades for the original MyLife Android application. About halfway into my employment, the plan to redesign the app completely was enacted. SMS support, a MyLife XMPP chat, and multiple social network features were integrated into the new app which was called MessageHub.For the development process of MessageHub, I was managing a new contract team to implement these features on a fast timetable. Weekly meetings with the Executive team were habitual under the development of MessageHub.Sadly, the MessageHub app is no longer available due to the service being discontinued.

Hallo was a social media app that used voice messages shared privately and publicly. The app had private chats, group chats, and a twitter-like global posting feature. At Hallo, I was the lead developer on the Android application. Firstly, I rewrote the existing application code to prepare it for a 1.0 release. After release, I was responsible for fixing any issues and adding additional features to the Hallo application. Issues that arose were routinely with Android device fragmentation and the audio APIs that existed in the early versions of the Android OS.In addition to the Android development, I also contributed code to the Java back end. Primarily, the functions of the code contributed was towards the Cassandra database integrations that the application relied upon. As of March 2013, Hallo has been shut down, and the app links are no longer available.
