Previously 90% Aluminum - to 60% Titanium Castings by Jan 2021.the Main new responsibilities for the first 9 months was to liaise with the rest of the CAD dept, pre-stage all orders, assemble/supply all new Tooling, Sister Tooling & implement consignment of consumables for 9 new CNC machines - This phase was particularly tight, and had potential to delay implementation of the entire family of parts if not done correctly. Following on from this phase, I then began to look into controls for consignment levels, with planned increase of stock, in line with production increases.Alongside all the usual roles allocated to the Tool Technician role - I supported improvements on machines, controlled sister tooling, trained staff on equipment in TMC (e.g Heat Shrink system). I consistently ran several projects concurrently - for production improvements, tooling trials; reduce costs, improve tool life, regrinding & consignment stock control. Finally, I also spent just over 18 months managing the 6S program for the site - (6Sigma). This made me responsible overall for site auditing & to promote continuous improvement. The programs management system was based around weekly reviews of 10 designated "zones" - each one allocated to the area supervisor.I was responsible for monitoring & correlating results, & presenting the review to the SMT. Other requirements were to support department owners with relevant 6S projects & improvements - in addition to managing and improving my own Department. Show less
