As a college student-athlete, I have learned many things during my time at school: how to manage my time, staying motivated to reach a goal and work hard for it, and working in a team environment. Aside from all these skills that come with being a student-athlete, I spent five years working as a lifeguard, which is about all I've worked. I interned with the Joplin Globe newspaper in Joplin, Missouri during the summers of 2018 and 2019, and also interned for the now-defunct minor league baseball team, Joplin Blasters in summer of 2016. While at the University of Missouri I have written articles for the Columbia Missourian, and during the fall of 2020, I served as the Russellville High School football beat reporter for the News Tribune in Jefferson City. I believe I would be a valuable addition to a company in terms of being reliable and hard working because I learned early on the value of hard work and the payoff it has in the end. Chasing a goal relentlessly comes second-nature to me because of my experience in swimming for thirteen years.
