Managed various engineering project which included special periodic survey, modification, repair and upgrades to offshore drilling units in various locations including Las Palmas, Rotterdam and Canada. Developed plans and budgets for projects valued at $100+ Million, prioritised project activities according to risk and value to the company.

As lead electrical project engineer I managed multiple upgrade and repair projects to offshore drilling units in various locations around the world which included Las Palmas, Croatia, Singapore, Invergordon and South Africa. Responsible for the engineering, procurement, shipyard work supervision control and commissioning.

Singapore

As lead electrical surveyor I carried out intrusive surveys on drilling units worldwide. The surveys acted as a pre-project assessments to allow the client to plan accordingly for the next out of service period. Detailed reporting and presentations were presented to the client’s higher management at the end of the surveys to highlight the defects and areas of improvement.

As electrical surveyor I was involved in both drilling contractor in-house intrusive surveys and witnessed various project commissioning on behalf of the drilling contractors client. This involved close contact with the commissioning team of the drilling contractor allowing me to report back to the client with findings, progress and improvement opportunities.
