Day to Day running of Back Coating Department, material trials/samples, Kaisen projects, design machine improvements: my latest project was for improvement Installation of IR Burners and control system in an existing oven that melts powdered LDPE to bond primary material (substrate) to various types of backings, other projects range from deflector shields to prevent melted LDPE from sticking to conveying tracks saving countless costs on breakdowns, to a very advanced and powerful vacuum system with edge trim removal improving to quality/appearance of products reducing scrap/costs.My present/new project(s) working closely to the (Technical/Process Manager) to modernise existing machinery to provide data for thickness, power consumption, line speed, track width, tension control and more, giving us better and more data, ultimately far greater control and standardization of both existing and new processes.Full factorial DOE's for a problems with products using MiniTab, from these experiments process capabilities was gained, that was previously not understood.Methods, TS, FMEA, NCR (8D), 5Y, Cause and Effect reports/investigations, OEE, PPAP, SMED, lab work testing new materials also working closely with quality and customers on the introduction of NPI (RFQ) new specs/materials and products.
