I am responsible for the design, efficiency, execution and implementation of each component of the business operations of the law firm. I oversee the management of the office including: human resources; employee relations; business operations; project management; strategic planning; marketing and outreach; docket; logistics; client concerns and communications; billing and accounting; and assignment and coordination of tasks among staff.In addition to the business operations responsibilities, I participate in each mediation that comes through the door from intake through settlement. The types of mediations I have handled vary widely in scope and subject matter, ranging from cases relating to breach of contract, employment, business disputes, ERISA benefits, EEOC, financial services, professional malpractice, civil rights, intellectual property, bankruptcy, class actions relating to FDCPA claims, property damage, personal injury, among others. Additionally, we provide CLE-accredited mediation trainings throughout New York State each year. As such, I am responsible for the design, development, coordination, organization and execution of each and every program, which included: coordinate planning, development of materials, agenda, marketing, and presentation of basic and advanced commercial mediation training seminars and other programs for the New York State Bar Association, New York State Supreme Court, Commercial Division, and others, throughout New York State. I also participated in our 3-day commercial mediation trainings as a role play facilitator/coach.Finally, I assist in teaching a Negotiation Skills & Theory course at Benjamin N. Cardozo Law School for the past 4 spring semesters; preparation and distribution of syllabus and role play scenarios, review students’ journals and term papers, respond to student inquiries.
