I am a Video Game Design, Technology Applications, and Audio/Visual Technology teacher at Alamo Heights Junior School. My background is Spanish Medieval History and Secondary Education. I taught Texas History for 4 years, and then became a Technology teacher. I teach a wide variety of tech apps, and believe in supporting students in their preferred areas of interest. My class has functioned as an independent study, with students exploring Photoshop, Garargeband, Robotics, Flowlab game design, Unity game design, VR game design, 3D design and printing, Sketchup, and computer repair. I also teach After Effects and graphic design. overseeing our school's live news broadcast. I am a Google Level 3 Certified Educator, Apple Education certified, as well as Unity User Programmed certified. I am a curriculum writer for our districts Video Game Design program. My interests also include board games, DnD, and Magic the Gathering, which are the focus of an elective class that I facilitate. Beyond my day-to-day work, I have participated in district strategic planning groups, AHISD's first Engaged Classroom cohort, our current Campus Design Team, Campus Leadership, 2020 TCEA Convention planning committee, and the lead teacher for our Talent Show.
