Manage day-to-day operations and personnel of First level UNIX support team at Ford Motor Company AVT locations. Maintain statistics regarding analyst performance and incident closure, Manage hardware and software resources at various AVT sites. Act as a liaison between National Tech Team Management and Ford Motor Company Management. Manage First level Hardware and software support of Sun, SGI and HP workstations. Duties include: Operating System Support: - 10/100 base T Ethernet, TCP/IP - NFS/NIS configuration including master and slave creation and AutoFS - HPUX 10.2, 9.X; Solaris 2.X ;IRIX 6.X administration. - Load OS for HP-UX and Sun and SGI. Utilized JumpStart, HP-UX Ignite and SGI AutoINST. Application Support: - On-site hands-on support and telephone based help desk support. ? Application support for Ford C3P Software including SDRC/I-DEAS, EAI VisMockUp & VisPlus, ICEM Technologies ICEMSURF & ICEM DDN, and Mechanical Dynamics ADAMS. - Application Support for Ford CAE Software including: Altair Hypermesh, I-Logix Statemate Magnum, Vsafe, Madymo, FEMB, MDI AdamsPRE, Nastran, Radioss. Personnel Administration: - Track personnel work time and file time sheet reports with human resources. - Maintain AVT help desk staff rotation schedule for Ford SPOC UNIX help desk. - Performance reviews of AVT UNIX personnel. - Hold bi-weekly staff meetings and attend all meetings regarding performance and administration of AVT UNIX personnel. Client Workstation Configuration: - Head up semi-quarterly project to update all AVT UNIX workstations to current Ford Approved release of the UNIX Global Client for C3P. - Headed up project to identify and correct Y2K issues with AVT UNIX workstations.

Hardware and Software customer support of Silicon Graphics workstations, Sun Microsystems workstations and servers, Hewlett-Packard workstations. Application support for Ford C3P Software including SDRC I-DEAS, Ford PDGS 26.20, Alias/Wavefront Studio Paint 4.5 and AutoStudio 8.5. Duties Included: Operating System Support: - 10/100 base T Ethernet, TCP/IP - NFS/NIS configuration including master and slave creation and AutoFS - HP-UX 10.2, 9.X; Solaris 2.X ;IRIX 6.X administration. - Load OS for HP-UX and Sun and SGI.
