From 2019 to 2023 I worked for ICON plc as a Data Scientist II and I was later promoted to the roll of Senior Data Scientist. During this time I worked extensively with Linux, Python, SQL, and Oracle for Data Engineering applications and data pipeline development. My education background includes a Master's degree in Biotechnology/Bioinformatics and certification as a full-stack web developer. My Bioinformatics training has allowed for me to develop an extensive programming knowledge using Linux, Java, Python, and R. Other core interests include software development on the back end of Linux. Previously, I was a Laboratory Supervisor for a regenerative medicine/tissue engineering lab at Children's Mercy Hospital for 9 years. During this time I managed a team of technicians and engineers and helped develop numerous research approaches specific to mammalian cell and tissue biology with emphasis in areas involving gene expression methods/analysis.
