My brother Stephen and I represent 5th generation beef farmers and are raising grass fed steers on our family farm in Drummund North Elmsley Township. We raise grass fed beef because we are passionate about sustainable agriculture and providing local, high quality, high nutrition beef to our community.

As a member of the Water Management Department my day to day role involved monitoring watershed conditions and answering questions from the public. I am a certified worker representative to the Joint Health and Safety Committee and am also trained to operate dams and chainsaws.In order to improving the access and the availability of data both internally and to the public I have taken a direct role in several projects:1. Automated the daily water levels dashboard using WISKI water management software and VBA to save 10 hours per week of labour.2. Managed consultants, operations staff and contractors for the production and installation of an overhead fall arrest gantry system at the Mazinaw Lake dam.2. Upgraded and expanded the automated sensing network to improve reliability which has reduced downtime by 75%.3. Managed the software development of an automated near real time water levels website and digital field sheets from staff recruitment to delivery to refinement. This software is modular and is being adopted by several other Conservation Authorities.4. Presented all software developments to the Canadian WISKI Users’ Group to build opportunities for collaboration between organizations.5. Organized and facilitated training workshops for other Conservation Authorities to share scripts, processes and build their capacity.6. Moderate and maintain a forum for WISKI software which has active users from across North America.

Led 15-25 day tours through remote regions of Canada safely, on budget and with a high degree of customer satisfaction

Prepared and ran weekly management meetings between the fund managing directors and investees. Built statistical models to analyze future potential cash flows for select assets, using both Matlab and Excel. Summarized analysis into final reports using LaTeX publishing software, and reported directly to Tactex CEO.

Assisted the full time engineers with site surveys, Autocad drawings, government applications, on-site project supervision and site inspections.

Worked with the GIS, Septic and Environmental planning offices on various projects that included trail mapping with Arcmap, digitizing technical drawings using Autocad , surveying elevations, water quality sampling, electro-fishing, benthic sampling and assisting with septic inspections.Organized and carried a septic servicing study in the village of Lanark with another student.

Was responsible for marketing, estimating, selling and producing all jobs.Achieved the Star Manager certification and won the Most Improved Manager Award.
