I designed my own printed circuit board (PCB), from the bottom up, that is being used on current projects and will be used on future vehicles and projects at Bluefin. I was able to learn quickly good design decisions both in schematic design and PCB layout from highly skilled and experienced engineers. I was also taught to be very detailed and concise in my documentation, an invaluable skill when dealing with long lasting products. At Bluefin I also reviewed, debugged, and improved previous designs.

I worked directly with the head of engineering to help with most of their state of the art acoustic technologies. I helped engineer top-level system designs and create circuit diagrams for various stages and boards of the product. I debugged boards such as their TR switch and Dual Digital power amp circuit boards. I also got accustomed to soldering. I learned CoralCad and Microsoft Visio to create mechanical drawings and cable drawings. I field tested products on Buzzards Bay. I was in charge of updating and maintaining documentation on legacy products.

I worked as the RFID co-op and did everything RFID related. My tasks included developing, prototyping, researching, and testing new metal-mount RFID tags that were usually used in high value asset tracking. I used in house dielectric materials to design metal-mount RFID tags. I also tested competitor RFID tags against our own and then reverse engineered them. I was in charge of the production of sometimes tens of thousands of RFID tags at a time and making sure that they were up to spec with a low fail rate.
