Founded Ronin Cross to act as a small security consulting firm meant to provide services to the public and private sector on international and homeland security issues. These include the ATF, DOE, Michigan Bureau of Fire Safety (BFS), Michigan CounterDrug Program, Michigan State Police, along with various military & local bomb squads- Served as security manager for subordinate military units (approx. 400 personnel) by monitoring security clearances up to TS/SCI to include submission of clearance investigations/reinvestigations, approval for access to information/systems, filing of visit requests, and advice on foreign disclosure requirements and processes

Provided military EOD emergency contingency response to CENTCOM/Middle East for explosive, chemical, biological, and nuclear incidents. Held key accountability and responsibility for staff training/operations, emergency response, led work on intelligence collection and briefing, program/policy development, implementation of explosives safety programs, budget management, regulatory compliance, and reporting. Also provided regular technical intelligence and intelligence analysis products related to munitions and IED hazards that were disseminated through TF Hellhound to the rest of CENTCOM. Maintained relationships with international partners and sister military assets. Served on various executive level working groups related to international crime, terrorism, and explosive hazards.

Required developing policies and programs that facilitated rapid growth, preparation for tough technical training, and improvements to certification processes- Provided planning and direct support operations for 2-3 national level military exercises annually- Established formal working relationship with Latvian EOD/bomb squad & NATO response forces. Consisted of regular interaction for training, cooperation, and advice for force structure and modifications to national EOD program to meet new and evolving threats in Eastern Europe- Administered EOD Information Management System (EODIMS) site and accounts used to track emergency response and support reports including man-hours, training qualification, and certification data for all company personnel and operations- National level subject matter expert on legal and policy issues related to military EOD and emergency response within the United States. Regularly contributed to national level Army doctrinal and regulatory documents.- Developed training programs mirrored throughout the National Guard to prepare Soldiers for EOD training, certification, special operations support, and overseas deployments

Served as part of a counter-terror, counter-IED initiative that involved coordination and participation in the analysis, processing, and distribution of products aimed at analyzing socio-cultural factors and their relationship to terrorist recruiting & support and Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs) for Combined Joint Special Operations Task Force (CJSOTF). This required working closely with forward-deployed counterparts; researching and evaluating information, assisting in determining the significance and reliability of, and analyzing incoming information; monitoring and evaluation of program progress; identification of best practices; preparation of a variety of finished intelligence reports; and attendance at meetings and coordination with Intelligence Community analysts and interagency working groups.

VP-1 (1995-2000), VQ-2 (2000-2003)Worked with avionic systems and electronic intelligence in support of National Security on the P-3 and EP-3 aircraft. Earned a reputation for improvisation and the ability to repair complex mission systems at remote sites with little to no support. High level of adaptability and leadership skills resulted in frequent deployment with small teams in support of field testing of new mission systems within real world missions as part of Operations Joint Forge, Southern Watch, Enduring Freedom, and Iraqi Freedom. Accountable for 3-20 personnel, avionics maintenance, training, adherence to quality standards, and quality of intelligence collected.Selected accomplishments:- Program lead for (VP-1) Patrol Squadron 1’s Avionics Improvement Program in 1999-2000 which was a massive retrofit upgrade to Navy’s P-3 aircraft. Managed on-site support in CENTCOM performing maintenance, training personnel, aircraft status reporting, and parts tracking. This time period marked the first successful deployment of these systems leading to the Navy’s full adoption of the upgrade- Key player in (VQ-2) Fleet Air Reconnaissance Squadron 2’s Special Missions Department. Included the operational testing, development, and maintenance of two major upgrades for the EP-3E aircraft (SSIP & JMOD), and roughly eight prototype mission systems. Served as national level expert of electronic/signal/measurement intelligence systems for the aircraft platform- Specifically requested for special mission support in South America in 2001 for counter-drug operations and Operation Enduring Freedom/Anaconda in 2002. Received letters of commendations from Navy Admirals for both deployments
