Successfully gained a SJIB recognised modern apprenticeship as an electrician with Balfour Beatty Kilpatrick . After completing my apprenticeship in April 2021, I am now a qualified electrician and hold a SJIB 18th Edition recognised grade card and a SVQ level 3 in electrical installation. Throughout my employment I have gained experience and knowledge on petrochemical, industrial and commercial sites installing conduit, trunking, cable basket, single core cables, steel wire armour, glanding and cable tray while applying safe working practices. Other responsibilities include reviewing electrical drawings such as wiring diagrams or termination drawings to ensure electrical installations are within the regulations and clients scope of work. My apprenticeship has also assisted me to complete a level 2 Award in Effective Team Member Skills course. This involved using effective communication, inside and outside the team and performing workplace based assessments to transfer team member skills to the job environment.

Attained an modern apprenticeship in Housing with Falkirk Council Housing Department which allowed me to experience various departments within Falkirk Council including; finance, private lets, homelessness and housing repairs. My responsibilities included working on Microsoft Excel continually updating repair arrears from tenants, communicating with landlords, tenants and other customers to answer any queries and updating/ filing confidential information. Additional to my responsibilities, I worked with the care team, tasked with scheduling and attended appointments to discuss/plan housing modifications with clients with disabilities. Examples include wet room shower facility or home access ramps. During my apprenticeship I completed an Elementary Health and Safety, Manual Handling and Emergency First Aid at Work certificates from Safety Training Scotland.
