I have a Humanistic, Progressive, and Constructivist philosophy toward education. I believe that we are more than just educating the mind, but seek to serve the entire learner, keeping in mind their backgrounds, needs, dreams, etc (humanistic). I believe that education should help students prepare for the real world and should embody experiential learning, hands-on projects/activities, and preparing to make an impact in the world now(progressive). I also believe that students will process new knowledge through a lens of their background, so it is vital that we bring relevancy to each lesson so students are able to bridge those connections sooner (constructivist).I have authored four Spanish books and co-wrote a book for the DIY Design that I co-teach. The Spanish books cover Spanish 1 and 2 and the summer sessions after each academic year. They include all lessons and assessments and are tied to video support from my youtube channel.
