My role at Toolchimp involved me dealing with a wide range of Ad Hoc duties. These included bank reconciliations, dealing with both invoices and delivery notes for orders placed with our suppliers, using both Sage and Orderwise programs for accounts and CRM, in addition to answering the live chat and liaising with suppliers on lead times for stock and delivery.

My role at Lasered Components involved me being the first point of contact for customers who called in on the phone. I would assist both new and existing customers alike in enquiries for any 2D cad drawings / files. Using programs such as Simga Nest, Sigma MRP and Autodesk viewer, I would provide quotations for customers who sent in their DXF, DWG or NC files. Additionally, I would also create parts to rough sketches which were sent in from the customer. When drawn, all the annotations would be included for the customer, who would then give the go ahead to proceed.All quotations provided to customers were usually returned within a one hour time frame, depending on the scale of the quotations and files which were sent over. Averaging a 65% conversation rate during my time at the company, I enjoyed the rapport building with the customers and I picked up a number of customers who stuck with me during my time here.
