Assists the Director in the operational duties in the Financial Aid Office, including, but not limited to functional supervision of staff, assuring quality service to students in a timely and consistent manner, while maintaining compliance with federal, state and institutional policies and regulations. • Acts as office manager in the organization and maintenance of office files, processing of financial aid applications, including accounts of fiscal reporting, other resources and expenditures;• Responsible for the evaluation and supervision of staff;• Coordinates with Director to assign responsibilities, tasks and duties; • Prepares reports for federal and state programs. Assists with completion of the FISAP report in conjunction with the Business Office and the Portales campus;• Performs responsible administrative duties and critical decision making, in the absence of the Director;• Chairs the Financial Aid Committee. Prepare files for appeal process, act as a non-voting member and notifies students of denial or approval of financial aid eligibility;• Coordinates monitoring of academic progress and time frame limits;• Assists the Director with awarding of grants, loans, Work Study and scholarship for students;• Assists in training of new staff and Work Study students;• Attends financial aid workshops and training;• Keeps updated with state, federal and institutional policies and regulations;• Maintains the office policies and the financial aid policies and procedures; • Serves on various ENMU Roswell committees;• Maintains a professional working relationship with staff from other offices and or agencies;• Coordinates office projects, the dates for bookstore charges, disbursement dates and other deadline dates for financial aid purposes;• Uses financial aid Banner software for awarding, tracking, reports and record keeping purposes;• Provides information and assistance to staff, students, parents and other customers;
