As an R&D Engineer I conduct development of new products and research as well as engineering optimizations on current product through the utilization of engineering, testing, and medical device expertise. Furthermore, I lead documentation of new products and optimized current products to ensure medical device production meets ISO 13485 Section 7.3 and FDA Title 21 Part 820.30.My primary responsibilities are as follows:Generate new product ideas and manage design/development to achieve quantifiable specifications.Utilize engineering knowledge and expertise to optimize design, manufacturing, and application of products.Assess engineering feasibility of new engineering processes, products, or equipment.Provide leadership and guidance to ensure timely completion of product validation process and Design History File Coordinate applicable engineering verification tests to assess performance of productsManage and review applicable engineering technical reportsOrganize design and manufacturing of relevant and applicable test fixtures Ensure all requirements of ISO 13485 Section 7.3, and FDA Title 21 Part 820.30 are met as they apply to product development and design control

I work with a team of 4 other engineers to validate our most critical and valued products through careful analysis, interactive discussions, organized processes, and effective teamwork. It is my responsibility to lead the design and development meetings, interface with team members to incorporate all ideas, propose final decisions such as the design of the product or testing methods, and ensure that agreed upon decisions are carried out through completion on 3 of this companies' major projects. Through this position I have gained extraordinary experience in engineering design theory, leading a team, testing and validation processes, critical thinking, and detailed engineering analysis and judgement.
