About Christopher Mena, Phd

I possess a PhD in Music Education and maintain a research interest in the racial, ethnic, cultural identity development of Mexican American students participating in school music ensembles. Additionally, I am interested in (and have published articles pertaining to) Ethnic Studies, Native American Education, and World Music Pedagogy. I have extensive international work experience with a current focus on helping to develop music teaching artist programs in Myanmar. I am a co-author of the 2018 book "World Music Pedagogy Vol. IV: Instrumental Music Education." A full CV is available upon request.
