Communication-Communication is the most important responsibility/skill that a teacher has each day there must be constant communication with students, parents, fellow teachers, counselors, coaches, administration. To achieve this my personal phone number given to students, their parents/guardian, other staff, administration, coaches, and anyone else who was a stake holder in the lives of my students. They were encouraged to use it on a daily or weekly basis, when the student was working on their homework, or if they had any concern in which I could help explain. Curriculum–Coordinated with team members on content, strategies and implementation of state, county and local curriculum for students. Evaluated student performance daily using formative and summative assessments to guide re-teaching for that day, or for the following days lesson. Designed individual education plan for students who needed additional support in being successful, and for those students who needed to be challenged beyond the daily lesson. Record Keeping-Maintained daily records for attendance, behavior, and progress for all students utilizing the program Zangle for these records. Zangle was also used to generate weekly progress reports for students, parents and staff. Training-A.P. Calculus, Carnegie Math Training, Carnegie Math Summer Conference, Algebra For All, Cooperative Learning-Kagan, Choice Theory-The Glasser Institute, Thinking Maps, Literacy Lab Extra Curricular Activities-After school tutoring both during the week, on the weekends at the local public library, and during various breaks (Christmas, Winter, Spring breaks). After school guitar lessons, given to groups of students and individually.
