Coordinated Congressional lobbying activities which resulted in the current 10% US EV tax credit for 2-wheel vehicles. Managed the IR effort which led to nearly 100% turnover of initial IPO investors.Negotiated strategic supplier and co-development alliances, for core technology components, with Parker Hannifin and Gold Peak Batteries. Conducted an intense review of potential contract manufacturing options in the E.U.; ultimately established a light assembly plant in Wrocław, Poland. Provided initial business planning and strategic direction for Vectrix Corporation, an electric vehicle company.Provided acquisition and expansion advice for Odyssey Cruises and raised $12M in long term capital. Evaluated and executed 7 acquisitions and raised over $20 million in debt financing for American Environmental Network, an analytical lab company pursuing an industry consolidation.Identified gaming and entertainment acquisition candidates for Ogden Corporation. Provided workout advice and performed on site due diligence for Riverside Capital Advisors, a private bond fund manager, on debt restructuring options related to Newport Grand Jai Alia.

Investigated emerging market gaming investment opportunities (riverboat, Native American and racetracks) in potential; Assisted in raising $150M of senior bridge financing for the acquisition of Bally Gaming International, Inc. and its subsequent merger into Alliance Gaming Corp (now Bally Technologies)

Acquired, operated, and restructured three subsidiaries that manufactured barges and related inland marine equipment and provided marine services. Reduced consolidated overhead by 35% and restructured $7.1M of senior debt. Managed all aspects of the sale of the majority of the businesses and assets to Trinity Industries. Successfully liquidated the remaining assets, negotiated settlements with all trade creditors, terminated the pension plan, successfully defended lawsuits and resolved all outstanding health claims.

Directed all restructuring activities for The Mariner Group, the parent company, initially negotiating standstills on a combined $33M of debt and reduced non-operating expenses by over $10 million. Transferred key operating subsidiaries to St. Louis Ship Industries and finally liquidated both Mariner Transportation, Inc. and Merchants Management Group.

Actively reviewed and performed due diligence on over 30 investment candidates, each in excess of $100M.Sourced, evaluated and financed large domestic and international corporate investments for a $1B private equity fund. Principal transactions completed included: Maybelline for $330M and Gateway plc for STG2.8B. Advisory transactions completed include the workout/refinancing of Consolidated Freightways for $120M and the senior debt refinancing of Barnes & Noble/B. Dalton for $25M. Negotiated banking and equity documents for the creation of the European Mezzanine Fund €300M and raised STG11.8 million of 1st and 2nd mortgage financing for Wasserstein Perella's London headquarters.

Sourced and evaluated middle market venture capital investments.Provided the initial venture financing of $12M to the American Italian Pasta Company to fund transition from pilot plant to full scale manufacturing; the company went public in 1997.
