pControl ProjectMilestone’s lead product, pControl, is a large-scale, Java-based system for the Finance industry, allowing Fund Managers to efficiently administer operations such as fund distribution, Pricing, Order management and Tax & Accounting requirements.pControl is a 3-tier system, with Java Swing rich-clients, and additional Web clients developed with Kendo and Freemarker; Tomcat is used for the AppServer; Coherence and then later Hazelcast for server and client-side caching; Hibernate for relational mapping; SQL Server and Oracle DBs. A custom scripting language, Rules, was developed to allow users to write procedures and workflows that extend pControl’s business logic.* Lead UI designer for pControl's desktop UI.* Developed and extensively refactored much of the Swing UI framework.* Designed and implemented many key pieces of functionality in pControl – an end-user design tool for Accounting reports; the diagrammatic representation of fund investments; interactive charting of fund balances, developed using JIDE Charts; dashboards for monitoring exceptions.* Created data models, implemented Hibernate mappings and SQL / HQL queries.* Implemented server-side business Entity components.* Experience in Spring.* Extensively used JUnit for unit testing.* Evaluated IDE frameworks for the Rules Script editor, and as part of a team of 3,designed and implemented the Script editor using NetBeans.* Developed a Perforce VCS plugin for the NetBeans IDE.* Performed code reviews, internal developer training and presentations, staffinterviews, build management.Java, Swing, Spring, Hibernate, ActiveMQ, JavaCC, JIDE, JUnit, Ant, Perforce, Bamboo, JIRA, UML, Agile development, SQL Server, IntelliJ v14, NetBeans v8, Windows.
