I have many years of experience supporting individuals with disabilities. This includes working In various departments such as day habilitation, community habilitation, transportation supervisión, recreational support, registered behavior technician, and behavioral specialist.I also have information technology experience as a computer support technician.Presently, I work full-time as a behavioral specialist at Abbott House. I implement behavioral supports in program by teaching ABA methodology to prevent crisis and reactive strategies in event they happens. This also includes teaching staff how to encourage replacement behaviors to promote proper behaviors. I also take part in intake screenings to learn more about prospective individuals who need supports. Another aspect is supervising staff on providing behavioral support to ensure behavior support plans are being consistently applied. I work part-time at Another Step as a community habilitation specialist providing one on one support to a special needs individual. Supports include community integration and promoting communication skills. Lastly, I work at ARC of Rockland per diem as a recreation specialist providing support in proper participation in leisure activities. I also have experience and skills in Information Technology. This includes areas such as various Windows office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook, Access). I have skills in installing different operating systems which include Windows, Linux, and Mac OS installation. I also have knowledge in using software for cloning hard drives using clonzilla. Other skills I have attained is computer gaming emulation, gaming parts replacement, and game system emulation. I also have hardware installation and troubleshooting skills that include but not limited to installing processors, motherboards, power supply, ram, hard drives, heat sinks, etc. Lastly , I have some knowledge of coding in HTML, C ++ and JAVA.
