An old manager of mine once told me I needed to find a job that lifted me out of bed in the morning and made my heart sing! The contact I have with adults with learning disabilities in my current role certainly does that! Our supported employment services guide and support those with learning disabilities into paid work. My experiences and qualifications in education, e-portfolios and Progress Files, e-learning, careers guidance, project management, evaluation, educational research, customer service and retail have laid a foundation from which I can call upon a skill, or a bit of knowledge, and put it to better use than ever before.
