About Christopher N.
Here’s my story:Before moving back to my hometown of Sacramento in July 2019, I was the lead pastor for 4 years at the First Church of the Nazarene in Carlsbad, New Mexico where I not only directed all church operations and ministries but also facilitated its outreach in the community - most notably compassion to the homeless population, which is my passion.I believe that I would make a great candidate for a position serving others or working with and interacting with people. This is due to my experience working with those living on the street of Carlsbad NM, which gave me several opportunities to talk and pray with many who had simply given up on life. Working with people on the street I have seen the hungry fed, needs met, and addictions overcome. I’ve seen those without hope find it. My passion is to participate with others in making my community a better place.I’ve also had the privilege of teaching classes at Carlsbad Community of Hope - a homeless shelter for those who are transitioning off the streets. Being aware that not all are at the same place in life, I prepared lessons that residents could easily apply to their daily lives as well as share with others. Nothing brings me more joy than seeing someone who had been in my class fully employed and independent.I seek a position that will impact my local community, and one in which I can grow both professionally and personally.If you think it’s worth our chatting, I welcome the opportunity.
