I taught graduate courses for administrators, supervisors and teachers on the topics of Curriculum Development and Design, Curricular and Instructional improvement and Gifted and Talented and Special Education within a Multicultural Perspective. Among the inaugural professors to teach in the recently launched Department of Education Doctoral Program, my current teaching focuses on innovation, leadership and management and the use of educational technology inclusive of immersive technologies and the subsequent disruption and opportunity to embrace and have agency in the future that does not yet exist.

I taught in the Doctoral Program for administrators, supervisors, teachers and business leaders on the topics of Educational Leadership, Diversity, Educational Issues and Policy and Emergent Issues that Impact Education.

I was responsible for all aspects of post-secondary career technical education for adult learning, technology expansion, revision of curricula, expansion of programs and implementation of a new evaluation model for instructors. I also served as the Burlington County Apprentice Coordinator and worked closely with Federal and State government officials and the Department of Labor to obtain funding, arrange for sponsorships, place apprentices and arrange for customized educational opportunities. In addition, I managed the enterprise accounts and created opportunities for expansion and synergies with existing programs. To maximize student enrollment, we secured Middle States Accreditation recognition and later obtained Federal Financial Aid capacity, one of very few CTE institutions. Being results driven, enrollment in apprenticeships increased exponentially.

As chief education officer, I was responsible for a $70 million budget that supported two very high achieving high schools, Demarest and Old Tappan, and a Region III Autistic Program recognized as one of best in New Jersey. We maintained a ranking among the 20 best School Districts in the State and top 100 in the country. I had oversight of more than 500 staff, collaboration with the seven sending school districts for curriculum and instruction, technology and oversight of the Region III Autistic Program. In collaboration with UPENN, I developed a Social and Emotional (SOMO) Wellbeing platform with assistance of positive psychologists for students and staff. I also created and launched a character education and ethics platform. Operationally, I was the key architect in the redesign the district website and social media platform for the district. To address a need to extend learning beyond the classroom, I supported a 1:1 Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) and laptop initiative for the high schools. To accelerate student learning and lifelong learning, we created teacher coaches to sustain the success of the implementation of the new teacher evaluation model.

I was responsible for building an academic program recognized by Newsweek and NJ Monthly Magazine among the top 100 schools while supporting extensive building construction and building expansion, curriculum and instruction for 1250 students. During my principalship we doubled the building footprint of the high school and having participated in the design and build process to meet with expanding programmatic and enrollment needs. Among many initiatives, I established key business and educational partnerships to provide opportunities for students to be engaged in work-based learning experiences and real world connections.
