I have been a creative person from a very young age and have a big interest in house renovations inspired by my Dad who was a Builder/Decorator. I have helped in 5 of our home renovations picking up manual skills along the way. In the early days the creative side of my nature gave me a huge interest in graphic design and I had the opportunity to study this at Bath College. After completing this course I then start my own business as a Consultant, creating brands, logos, promotional advertising material, helping companies communicate their messages on lots of different media to gain sales or interest in their business, service or events. Circumstances changed which led me to a new career in Safety Netting and Scaffolding, working on large projects such as Twickenham Stadium. After a short while I was made Team Leader and responsible for all aspects of the job. My parents had moved to France and as always I helped in the renovations of their houses. Then I made the big decision to move to France myself seeing many opportunities open to me. I started work in Telecommunications, working at height on Pylons and Towers. Then I moved to a more management role working on site maintenance and installations becoming Area Manager for the Region Finistère in Brittany. I then had an opportunity to change roles to Solar Panel Installations. Soon I became Team Leader, I studied Project Management and later developed to become Site Manager. I managed two sites in the Le Mans area. Then I went on to manage the highest Solar Parc site in Europe, on the top of the mountains in the Alps just behind Nice. The role included managing the site, materials, the teams, the client, the helicopter and all organisation of the site. There were many challenges to deal with not least the weather and the angle of the mountain where the panels were to be fitted. It was then a change in home circumstances that I decided I no longer wished to work away from home on a permanent basis so sought my latest role as Business Manager for the region Loire Atlantique with Energies de Loire. My hobbies include renovating my new house, riding my motorbike, fishing, spending time with the family and always my passion for music and composing.
