I am currently a Freshman at Texas Tech University. I am young, ambitious, and eager to start my journey as an adult by looking to grow as a student, and candidate for the years to come. I'm pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering. I am pursuing this career because my dad, an Electrician showed me the plans that the Engineers give to him and explained to me how these simple 2D lines have purpose and meaning that all workers must be able to translate to do their job. From a young age I knew I wanted to help people and be a part of building something yet never assumed it to be literal. I managed to get a full ride scholarship while working 25 hours a week and aspire to keep this motivation as I shift to the workforce
