Currently, I am an Apprentice with the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW). I enjoy learning about my craft and my role in building America. From parking decks to High-rises, libraries to medical offices; I have learned a vast amount of skills that will help prepare me for a long career as an Electrician. Skills in conduit bending, wiring methods, transformers, inverters, solar power, lighting controls, grounding, DC and AC theory, and networks are some of the subjects I have been taught by some of the most talented and experienced members in my trade. I had the pleasure of working with some very talented individuals and some of the most inspirational kids I have ever met as a Network Technician for Fairfiel-Suisun UnifiedSchoolDistrict. I helped my staff and students move forward in technology as it applies to education. What we had accomplished is absolutely amazing; from every student having the ability to take devices like Chromebooks and iPads home, to introducing kids to the world of Star Wars with Steam VR, we made education fun. Prior to working in the field of technology I was an Executive Protection Officer with Group Service Inc. I was responsible for protecting individuals, assets, and information for clients in Texas and California. I maintained a high standard of excellence throughout my career by earning awards for Outstanding Team Competitor and Top Shot Champion 2 years in a row. It was an amazing opportunity to learn and train in areas of CPR/AED, First Aid, Pressure Point Control Tactics, and Firearms. When I am not replacing keys on laptops, draining mysterious liquids from Chromebooks, and making sure everyone at my sites can make calls, use presentation systems, and print out curriculum.... I enjoy tinkering in the garage, watching my kids grow like weeds, and learning about future technologies that my kids will enjoy when they are my age. They are so lucky to grow up in this era!
