I joined Lockheed Martin to take part in the exciting 1LMX program efforts taking place. As a member of an RPA (Robotics Process Automation) team, my colleagues and I work to automate company processes for other teams within our organization. Our automations are designed to free up significant hours for partner teams so they can focus their efforts on more logic intense tasks, while the automations take over lengthy repetitive tasks. The automations also help reduce human errors, while doing so with greater speed; overall efficiency increases with our automations performing the processes. I work closely with customers to understand requirements, pivot development when requirements change, and to provide legacy support once their automations go-live. This provides a unique experience of being an independent developer, while also looking at problems from the business perspective; on a daily basis, I am communicating and translating technical information to our customers.I additionally have had the pleasure of being the Integration Lead on a new vendor implementation; this new product will be used organization-wide, and used daily by thousands of employees. I have written code to help ensure automated reporting is in place with the new vendor. Regular meetings to coordinate needs, deadlines, and cutovers have allowed me to learn while networking with new colleagues.

Automation Engineer within the Collaboration and Productivity Technology team. During my time at SIG, I helped adopt Microsoft Whiteboard into the firm. Additionally, I've migrated the the firms on-call paging system to work with an entirely new vendor. This required writing new code, and configuration existing systems. Hundreds of colleagues depend on reliable and fast alerting using this infrastructure. I am also built on a new monitoring system specifically designed for my team; it is currently monitoring 50+ Windows Machines and performs over 900 system checks cycling every few minutes. My team will use this system to keep tabs on all CaPT related infrastructure; it will help us identify problems immediately.

Jr. Infrastructure Engineer within the Cloud Operations (DIO) team, working with Microsoft Azure. Daily activities include provisioning virtual machines, creating/modifying firewall rules, troubleshoot infrastructure problems, migrate on-prem services into Azure Cloud, and provide on-call support.

I was an intern for the Summer 2017 Technology Analyst Program. I worked with JPMorgan Chase & Co. to develop and utilize the latest technology to help drive and improve company wide infrastructure. While working on an global team with members around the world, we coordinated our efforts to tackle issues efficiently. It was a fantastic opportunity to apply my skills to a Data Sciences position, while learning how a model company is using technology to solve real world issues.
