Charted real-time data from MLB games. Inside Edge tracks pitch types, spray charts, and other data requested by clients. The position involved judging the strength of hits and quality of defensive plays.

I worked for the Office of the Minority Leader, conducting research and tracking legislation throughout the 60-day session. Most of my job involved summarizing legislation and committee meetings. I assisted Democratic Senators with research and helped write several bills.

I represented the 30,000 students of WVU's Main Campus. My most critical role was my seat on the institutional Board of Governors, where I provided the student voice for major strategic decisions facing the University. I also directed projects Student Government Association was working toward with administrators. My platform was focused on college affordability, retention, and other pressing issues to WVU students.

Along with a fellow student, I analyzed the upcoming opponents of the Mountaineers. We watched film and used statistics to provide Coach Randy Mazey with as much information about opponents as possible. Our information affected strategy and helped coaches get an idea of the quality, strengths, and weaknesses of opposing players, as the coaches often did not have enough time to scout opponents fully.

Studied college affordability issues faced by four-year colleges and West Virginia four-year colleges in particular. Learned and analyzed budgetary issues associated with rising college costs, and studied new approaches to tackle tuition hikes at West Virginia colleges and universities.

Saw compromise in action, learned more about the practical process of policymaking, and was moved to serve others by legislative giants like Senator Byrd.
