Ensuring a cohesive design by working closely with a wide range of department disciplines.Constant liaison with Production supervisors and the shop floor team on system designs to minimise future potential rework, installation issues and to highlight “hot” areas to prioritise future workflow.Schematic review and interpretation to guide the modelling process.Specification-driven piping using Creo Piping (Pro/Piping).Creation of piping spools for the shop floor (M4ISO).Data management using PTC/Windchill (PDM Link).Using supplier drawings and vendor data to produce 3D design models.Model interface and clash checking in a 3D environment using Creo View.Supervise other designers, checkplot drawing packages before issue and allocate work.

Part of Bp Australia's Terminal & Logistics team. I complete a diverse range of drafting works across Bp's Fuel Terminals, Depots and Retail sites across Western Australia. My main duties include:Travelling to site to survey and as-build the existing pipework, tanks and infrastructure prior to project commencement.Working closely with internal stakeholders on site to outline project requirements.P&ID creation and modification.Utilise AutoCAD to model site layouts, plans, elevations, tanks, piping and associated infrastructure.Producing Isometric Drawings, Tank Data Sheets, Line Lists, Valve Lists, Drawing Registers and Bill of Materials.Drawing Document Control.Receiving and reviewing external consultant drawings.

I worked from a Trainee Draftsman to a Senior member of the Mechanical Design team in my 5yrs with Austal Ships. I worked across many vessel designs ranging from small 20m work boats, passenger and vehicle ferries, patrol boats and large 100m+ vessels for the US Navy. I worked closely with Mechanical Engineers during the vessel design phase to ensure our design guidelines and specifications were being met. To create a coherent design I also worked closely with our other internal department Designers and Engineers across Structure and Electrical disciplines. My duties included:3D Piping Designs across multiple systems - Fuel, Black and Grey Water, Fire Suppression, Hydraulics, Fresh Water, Pneumatics & Sea Water. Hvac Modelling - Supply Air ducting, Exhaust Air ducting, Return Air ducting, Refrigeration Plant modelling & Ducting outlet layouts. 3D Model reviews and clash detection Plant and Equipment LayoutsShaft and Gearbox alignment layoutsSpool DrawingsPiping layout and assembly drawingsLiaising with Production staff to resolve any issues during construction phase
