Having already cycled around various parts of the world, we decided to do the ultimate round the world tour, so had planed to leave on the 1st March 2017, our bikes were all set up and ready for the off, and then suddenly the unthinkable happened, Gabs was diagnosed with breast cancer a couple of weeks before we were due to leave, so we cancelled our tour. She had a double mastectomy in the March, followed by six cycles of chemotherapy, more surgery and ongoing treatment which finished June 2018, only 2 weeks before we set off on our World Tour. Our world cycling tour will be raising money and awareness for the charity Prevent Breast Cancer. This charity is close to our hearts as they focus solely on predicting and preventing breast cancer.
