I'm the Secondary coach Assistant to the Defensive Coordinator. We run a pro-style 3-4 defense.

I'm coach the Running Backs and Punt Returner's for the Statesboro Blue Devils. I have the responsibility to make sure that all of my guys know whats going on each day in practicing, what the game plan is going to be for the week, and getting them ready for each game. It was my responsibility to evaluate the progress of each backs awareness of the plays, understanding of the game, effort, ability and motivation to play at the level that the head coach and I expected them to play at. During games I would watch the secondary to see what type of coverage's our opponents were giving us against certain formation and seeing what we had that could exploit any vulnerability they had. Also I would make substitutions between the running backs as need for rest and personnel for certain formations. Before each practice I would set up the field by bring out all equipment that we would be needing for the schedule practice like; bags, cones, ropes, hoses, boards, pitching machine, sled bags, tackling dummies, shields, etc.... and after practice I would help put everything away.On Sundays we had staff meetings where we would watch film on our next opponents and come up with our game plan for the week. We also discussed other issues that may have needed to be addressed about players or coach's. I would watch up to 4 different games on our opponents through our Hudl account. As i watched each game I would list the coverage's and blitz's our opponents would do to find out if they have any tendencies we can't take advantage of.

I have a range of responsibilities depending on what I am working that day. If I am the cook I am in charge of making sure that we have all the food prepared and ready for sale. Then if I am on the line I have to be ready mentally to please the customers by making their orders correct in a timely manner. Last if I am on the register I have to be sure to be nice and hospitable to all customers in meeting their needs.
