Currently, I am a quality process engineer for Sorenson Engineering Inc. Some of my current responsibilities and duties are to create quality control plans, and quality inspection programs. Through my time at the company I have become very experienced in programming measurement systems such as VICI, Keyence, and QCGage. I also create quality control plans for the CNC department stating how specific features should be measured according to the parts specific design. On top of my primary responsibilities, I also assist machine technicians with inspection programs that already exist and determine the appropriate adjustments needed to achieve accurate and precise results.During my time at Sorenson Engineering I have become a valuable asset across many departments. Aside from my primary position, I assist the final inspection department in completing FAIR’s accurately and in a timely manner. Recently, I joined the Technical Engineering department to assist in designing an entire new way to measure crimp forces automatically, reducing human error. While with the company I have used python coding to create an entire new application that is now relied upon and has become a crucial part of the way Sorenson communicates. My computer application runs in the background and allows effective and efficient communication between the teams of the company and has revolutionized the way we run.A couple key attributes I have is working well with others in groups and rapid learning. I cannot only be a great team player, but can also perform well as a team leader ensuring every member is on the same page and working together. When it comes to growing my knowledge, I pick up new skills very quickly, and am able to expand upon my knowledge with new ideas. I am always open to learning new skills, and take advantage of opportunities with great enthusiasm.
