I have over nine years of experience in nuclear power and working with electronic equipment. My knowledge of various platforms of reactor plants has broadened since working with Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard. I have acquired enough technical skill to be more than proficient in troubleshooting and repairing, as well receiving, inspecting, and installing nuclear instrumentation and control equipment.During 2013-2015 I attended Naval Nuclear Power Training Command and Nuclear Power Training Unit in Goose Creek, South Carolina where I learned the basic and advanced principles of electricity and nuclear power. After traditional classroom learning, I learned how to operate a reactor plant in a hands-on style on a moored training ship. At the completion of this two-year training, I became board certified as a Reactor Operator.In 2015 I was assigned to the USS NEWPORT NEWS (SSN 750), a Los Angeles class fast-attack submarine, stationed out of Norfolk Naval Base, Virginia. Here I became a qualified Reactor Operator on the S6G platform and took on many other duties. Once senior enough, I was designated Reactor Control Leading Petty Officer and Supervisory Reactor Maintenance Technician where I managed a division of 10 sailors and planned maintenance, provided training, and scheduled watch rotations for them. I also took on the collateral duty of Educational Services Officer where I coordinated advancement exams for 150 sailors.Once I left the ship in 2019, I transferred to Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard & IMF where I worked in the Nuclear Electronics Shop. I took on the role of Nuclear Electronics Shop Supervisor where I over saw the quality work of 25 civilians and four sailors,In 2022, at the end of my contract, I was honorably discharged from the Navy.From 2022 to present, I took the role of Lead Renewable Natural Gas (RNG) Plant Operator at one of Kinder Morgan's newest RNG acquisitions. Here, I lead a small crew of operators and technicians. We extract methane gas from the landfill and process it down to pipeline quality.
