A skilled and experienced IT professional with over 40 years in the industry, most recently within the Property Development/Management sector for a FTSE100 company and previously within in the Magazine Trade Marketing and Distribution, Insurance, Banking and Manufacturing sectors. I have worked both in permanent and contract roles ranging from Developer, Senior Developer through to Team Leader and IT Management and architecture. I have a keen understanding of problem solving at both high and detailed levels and am able to convey my solutions to any level of staff, from Junior Developers up to Stakeholders and Board Members. I have worked extensively on both the SQL Server and Oracle database platforms developing predominantly multi-tier smart client applications in .NET utilising Agile methodologies whilst remaining business-centric in my approach to solutions.I am tenacious in my approach to my work and have a proven track record of getting results in projects I have led. I bring a high level of commitment and determination with me to any role I undertake and encourage the same in the colleagues that work with, and for me. Outside of work, I enjoy travelling to countries I have not been to before and hiking, preferring to walk to work most days when working in central London.
