Propose, specify, design, develop, test, distribute, and support monitoring and report tools using Windows OS and .NET development for the support of an operations group which processes mutual funds, using "subaccounting" techniques (doing the back-room work of notifications, daily accounting, etc. that used to be done by the mutual fund companies themselves); BNY Mellon dominates this market ever since they purchased our division; my tools detect issues before they become problems, alert operators to possible issues, record performance indicators, perform statistical analysis using those indicators to predict nightly performance, and help specify and validate the control and execution of each step of daily processing.

Initially hired as consultant to build a benefit enrollment system using interactive voice response (i.e. a telephone menu) using only Java tools. This required me to learn Java, which I did, and I later mentored junior programmers in Java. I found free tools and services that delivered IVR capability to the growing benefit enrollment system. Additionally, I helped develop the SQL Server database which was eventually used for the base system, and I mentored junior programmers in Java, SQL, and general programming.

Built interactive voice response system using VB and Rhetorix tools for use in a benefit enrollment system. Designed data warehouse with data-mart extraction using SQL Server as warehouse and Access for smart portable data mart. Helped direct and mentor a development team varying from two to twelve over time. Acted as part-time DBA until full-time DBA hired.
