As co-founder, President and CEO, I enjoy working with the Calder Biosciences team to create highly potent and effective vaccines that protect against some of the most insidious infectious diseases. As an entrepreneurial bio- and protein chemist, I've led Calder Bio in all aspect of the company’s business to develop and apply its nano-scale 3D-Vaxlock technology that locks purified protein-based vaccines in the 3D shape that best elicits long-lasting, easily tolerable, and highly protective responses with targeted, site-specific, carbon-carbon bonds – molecular staples. Our 3D-Vaxlock® technology supports novel composition of matter IP for each application, like our RSV and universal flu vaccine programs: DT-preF and DT-Headless HA. The technology provides short time-to-development assets, and our RSV vaccine (DT-preF) is ready to enter clinical trials.Calder is an Endless Frontiers Labs Graduate of the 2023/2024 cohort. The EFL is a 9 month performance-driven program that aims to translate breakthrough science into successful business through mentorship, venture capital, and business development. As an EFL graduate, I worked with senior executives across GSK, Regeneron, Scion Life Sciences, and more to scale the success of Calder Biosciences.

As founder, Managing Partner, and CEO, I led this biotech company to focus on developing protein engineering technologies, first to improve industrial enzymes and protein chip technology. Later (2009 onward), I redirected the company’s efforts to apply its technology to lock vaccine immunogens in their most potent and efficacious 3D shape. This technology (3D-Vaxlock®) was transferred to Calder Biosciences Inc in May 2018.

Served as initial CEO of Ophidion Inc. I licensed the technology from The Rockefeller University & the Howard Hughs Medical Institute (HHMI), to develop new class of drugs targeting the neuronal nicotinic receptors for the treatment of cognitive disorders, anxiety, depression, and pain based on allosteric regulation. Ophidion's mission: to enable safe and more effective medication for these patient groups, and dramatically expand the market for cognitive treatment.
