I have worked as a full-time high education/university instructor for over 16 years plus several years as part-time faculty member/adjuncts as well. I taught American Sign Language (ASL), Deaf-related courses such as Deaf History, Deaf Culture, ASL Literature, ASL Poetry, Structure of ASL and several ASL-related interpreting courses. I was able to teach my students how to work with students and I also taught them to be self independent and more confident and self disciplined. These are some of the things that I also learnt from my colleagues. I was a department coordinator/chair for seven years. I understood and had done administrative tasks, management and had gone through college-wide monthly curriculum committee meetings for several years. Teamwork and team players are essentially important in this career. Also employment-related professional developments, I have attended many National conferences, seminars and workshops. This makes me stronger in teaching skills, administration, management and other areas. I worked in government and business settings for many years as well. I had done auditing, financing, public relations, public policies, some accounting and various related government and private contracts. I have also worked as an interpreter, aka Deaf Interpreter (DI) and Deaf-Blind Interpreter (DBI), for some local and regional interpreting agencies for many years. I excel at these as well.
