In this capacity, he provides strategic and operational legal and business affairs advice to, and leads the legal team servicing, Shaw Media’s broadcast properties and their related digital businesses, including the Global Television Network, and eighteen specialty services (including HGTV Canada, Food Network Canada, History, TVtropolis, Showcase and Slice). Chris’ experience extends through the entire television and digital media business cycle, encompassing all aspects of development, financing, production, broadcasting and distribution of television and digital media content. He combines an understanding of the Canadian broadcast regulatory regime with deep practice experience negotiating all manner of agreements with the major US studios, broadcast and cable networks, and international distribution companies.
