I recently graduated from Florida State University with a bachelor’s degree in finance. While attending my final semester at FSU, I participated in an internship program for a solar company in Houston, Texas. During the internship, I was able to obtain a unique sales experience by operating in a city that I have never visited before. I knocked door to door in suburban neighborhoods and sold solar products to the best of my ability. I was able to overcome my fear of rejection by getting used to the feeling of being turned down and moving onto the next house. My finance education combined with my work experience has given me a great foundation for the knowledge and skills necessary to work in the sales industry. I learned new techniques and quickly applied them to improve my sales craft. I look forward to constantly learning and growing as not only a person, but also as an employee. I have discovered that sales are ultimately what I envision myself doing. Working face to face with customers and building relationships has always been easy for me and something I enjoy. I consider myself a people person with great energy and always look forward to creating new relationships.
