I have been in Construction for over 22 years, and across all phases of construction Management for 17 years. I started in the industry working for my dad at 17 years old on one of his carpentry crews. From there I worked my way up through different positions, finally landing in an upper management position. When my Dad stepped back due to his health, I was titled the Vice President of Operations. My Dad passed away in 2018 and his passing was sudden. Due to the nature of the situation, the company was not prepared for survival after his passing. Once I fully shut the doors, I took a position with Lord construction as the Regional Service Manager and they are a great company but they were not meant to be my forever home. Throughout my career, I have worked all phases of Residential construction from remodeling, scrape and builds, foremans positions, acquisitions, estimating, Coordinating, Project Management, then management, Warrantee, Quality Control, Safety, and Upper Management. After 17 years I was ready for a different challenge so in 2022 I applied to an Asst. Warrantee Managers position with a commercial builder in Odessa FL. When I applied, I had a mass knowledge of executive residential construction experience but zero commercial construction experience. The company did hire me but they put me in the field working to build my skill and knowledge. During this training phase I was told I was like a chameleon because of my abilities to learn and adapt. After 2 months they had recieved so much positive feedback on me from they're field management that they officially offered me the management position with the warrantee department. I was with them for two years during which I absorbed everything I could relating to and or surrounding the commercial construction industry. In the end the Company hired new upper management and decided to swing directions and my department was cut from the company. This was a hard blow because I loved my job and I was fully dedicated to them. I would have stayed with said company through retirement if I had been able but it wasn't in the cards. I am now open too new opertunities that challenge me, not only as a person, but also challenge my professional capabilities.
