In my role as the editorial assistant for Programmatic Perspectives, I assist with the production and publication of the academic journal. My task is to copyedit scholarly articles, solicit authors and reviewers to contribute articles, and prepare the finalized, peer-reviewed articles for publication using Adobe InDesign. Journal issues can sometimes reach up to 200 pages of body text, and it is my job to ensure that they are clean and consistent throughout. I also designed a cover for the journal so that each issue has the professional appearance like that of other scholarly publications.

My role as the Writing and Editing GA is to spotlight exemplary students and worthwhile events that will be of interest to graduate students. I interview people in the campus community to commit their stories to print in editorial article for our weekly publication GradCURRENTS. During my two years as a GA, I have written over 60 articles. In my first internship at Cincinnati Magazine, I worked as a Digital Media Intern. I pitched and wrote editorial articles for the magazine's the print and web publications. I also contributed photography and helped redesign parts of the website to feature old articles from the magazine's archives.

I served students in a living-learning environment to help in their transition to college and in navigating their early college experience. My mission was to connect residents to resources on campus based on their needs and interests. In this position, I designed and facilitated programs and events based around the four pillars of Learning, Leadership, Inclusion, and Community.
