Chris is the executive producer, creator and writer of SEARCH, the Scottish audio drama series, in association with The Big Light, funded by National Lottery through Creative Scotland and developed with BBC The Social. As producer, Chris secured funding and distribution, assembled a creative team in addition to writing and directing all 8 episodes of Series One, working with an ensemble of Scottish talent from shows including Burnistoun, Scot Squad, River City and Singin' I'm No A Billy, He's A Tim. Series Two is in development.Chris is the author of two short story collections, one novel, two short novellas and is a contributing writer to horror anthology Twisted50, the number one best seller.As a comedy writer, he has written & directed 11 sketches for BBC The Social as a contributing writer, with a combined audience of over half a million. Sketches include The Offices of the Internet series including The Alexa Department, Scottish VAR Trials, BBC Brainstorm: New Show Ideas for BBC Scotland.As a playwright, Chris has enjoyed audiences across Scotland. Chris also created the Toasted Fiction Theatre podcast series, writing 7 out of 16 episodes. His short play, Big Bang Billion was selected to feature as part of A Play, A Pie & A Pint’s Pint Sized plays.Chris has had work featured on BBC The Social, A Play, A Pie and A Pint, Tron Theatre, Scottish Youth Theatre, Beacon Arts Centre and best-selling horror anthology Twisted50.Writer/Director of two short films, Chris has written two original TV drama pilots, one of which was a Shore Scripts quarter finalist and the other a quartier-finalist in the TSL Screenwriting competition.Writing across a variety of genres and medium, Chris enjoys the collaboration between actors and directors during the process of writing scripts. He also frequently releases nano stories on Instagram, TikTok and his website.As a writer, Chris wishes to continue his work across digital, theatre and film, with the ambition to move into television and feature film, primarily as a writer.
