Worked as a developer on a variety of Automotive products which were both public facing and internal. At Reynolds and Reynolds, developers work in a waterfall environment where the developer was responsible for the entire life cycle, data to UI. • Completed over 2,000 projects which included modifying existing applications, rewriting applications inherited from a third party, and fixing software bugs. • Optimized hundreds of SQL queues and modified SQL schema to increase overall performance of applications. • Mentored several new employees and taught code standards, language, and the overall model of our products. • Cross-tested and code reviewed my peers’ code on a monthly basis to ensure the changes were implemented in the most efficient and accurate method • Key projects accomplished over the years include: o Created a motion detection module to work with a Logitech Camera and an MFC application. o Designed and implemented ‘Pod’ architecture in SQL when the amount of data became too large for one server to handle. The pods allowed a split of that data across servers to speed up SQL calls and increase the performance of reports. o Rewrote an entire product (Data Layer to UI Layer) to bring it up to standards using the common code base that was already in place.
